During
this day-in age, when the idea of “politics” in general comes up in conversation,
tension immediately starts and it’s hard to cool down afterwards. This is what
our country has come to; we are so divided and on either side of both spectrums
where it is so difficult to have a comfortable, personable conversation with
someone about politics in the United States of America. There are two websites
I explored today for this blog post: antiwar.com, and theamericanconservative.com.
They talk about politicians and people of this nation who are against being a
part of another war. So, how come I have never heard or seen these websites
before? Why is it so difficult to find media like this in the post popular
websites, social media pages now a days?
Here is my
thought on this; this opinion of “Anti War” is not what the politicians and
leaders in the house want to hear right now. This is not their main focus, and
it is especially not the President’s main focus in office. To be honest, he is
making decisions and choices around the world that are not good for this “antiwar”
movement. However, that is not on the forefront of his mind while making those
choices. As being a citizen of this nation, I would prefer to have that idea on
the forefront of our leaders’ minds. We already have thousands of men and women
out in third world countries fighting day after day for our freedom and starting
a war would only mean it will become more difficult for that to stay true to
our nation.
It’s safe
to say that there is a good reason every American lives’ in this nation, and we
all want to be given equal opportunities and live our very best lives. However,
if our leaders don’t take into consideration the people who don’t want our
country to fight in war and who don’t want to take a risk at losing the freedom
we have, some decisions need to be made.
